At a very early age, Micle Rae Flora discovered her
love for music.
As a toddler, Micle was awestruck listening to ther
favorite aunt, Teresa, play and sing old gospel hymns
in her grandmother’s living room in a small east
Texas town. Micle knew this was what she wanted too,
and began singing in church and taking piano lessons
with the only local teacher who would accept young children.
During Micle’s teen years, her ambition and desire
to please others took control of her life. Her mother
was concerned that Micle could have a nervous breakdown
as she was overly involved in academics and extracurricular
activities. It was this desire to succeed and please
others that set Micle on a fast pace to success with
a Fortune 500 company - and almost destroyed her marriage.
Through an incredible chain of events,
God showed Micle that her priorities were out of order.
Even though Micle knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior,
attending church was just one more thing to check off
her “to do” list. Micle had to learn what
it meant to put Jesus first in her life, and to trust
Him.
